The Education and Innovation Practice Community organises an online workshop, that is set to take place on Wednesday 22 November 2023, from 14:00 to 16:00 CET. This event is organized by the OECD Higher Education Policy Team, in collaboration with Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Dear members of the Education and Innovation Practice Community,
Please find attached the programme of our upcoming online EIPC workshop on “Connecting higher education, teacher education and schools to advance education for the digital and green transitions”, organised in collaboration with the European Commission and Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, which falls under the auspices of the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
The Education and Innovation Practice Community (EIPC) is an initiative of the European Commission, implemented with the OECD under the New European Innovation Agenda, flagship 4 “Fostering, attracting and retaining deep tech talent”.

What to expect from the workshop?
Through four interactive “peer discussions” between policy makers and practitioners from Ireland and internationally, we will seek to identify key enablers and success factors to strengthen systemic collaboration between higher education and schools to advance education for the digital and green transitions:

Discussion 2 (Ireland-Norway): Higher Education’s Role in Building Research-Practice Partnerships to Support Quality Enhancement in Initial Teacher Education
Discussion 3 (Ireland-United Kingdom): Supporting Higher Education Institutions with School Engagement, Outreach and Collaboration
Discussion 4 (Ireland-Netherlands): Strengthening Higher Education Institutions’ Science Communication with Schools through Regional School-Higher Education Partnerships
